What is Balayage?

This a question that I am asked by many of my guests and friends! In French, balayage is literally "sweeping." The method of using a brush and color and/or lightener and paint free handed using the brush in a sweeping motion. The outcome is a soft, blended effect to the lightened hair similar to sun-kissed highlights. This adds dimension and gives the illusion of light reflecting off the hair! It's a really quick way to add dimension to all hair colors with little to no maintenance! Here are a few examples of this technique below!

Balayage is done on a variety of different hair types and hair colors. This is a technique that looks good on everyone!
